It’s a lazy Sunday here in the Stewart House. We just finished church and brunch and now we’ve laid the baby down and are enjoying some quiet time.
I’m still setting up this website and the format of the pages. I have so much I want to share! First, here is a look at my grandmother’s recipe book. The binder I hold all her recipes in I purchased from Target and the inside pages are copies I had made at OfficeMax of Grandma’s original recipes.
I don’t know how many recipes she has in here. Some are typed on her typewriter while others are in her handwriting. I particularly love the ones she wrote by hand. She was a very organized lady and loved to use her type writer and scanner. She often sent us scanned clippings and sayings. One of my favorite clippings she sent my mom my mom kept in her safe for 20 years. I found in last spring while going through old papers. I loved it so much it holds a permanent place on my nightstand.

The blessed Mary and Jesus figurine belonged to my Grandmother Viola who was a devout Catholic and very very special to me.
